Welcome to the Blog all you Drama Educators and Enthusiasts!

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Natasha Joachim and I am your 2009-2011  ATA Fine Arts Council Drama Rep.  I hope that this blog will become a useful resource for all of you as we help to create and build this blog together as a community.

As you know, Drama teachers are experts at working collaboratively and extensively with talented individuals with a wide variety of skills and yet so often we work in isolation in our own schools.  It is our hope as a Fine Arts Council that we change that and begin to rebuild and connect with the many talented teachers we have here in our province.

It so often astounds me just how much talent there is in our province and just how much more we can do to share our talents and expertise with one another.  I hope that this blog will encourage us to dialogue, share/exchange ideas and help give suggestions to improve the programs we already have developed.  It would also be a great place to network, mentor and share resources from lessons, to scripts to set and costumes.  The possibilities are endless and I hope that we are able to support each other and regain that sense of community, collaboration and mentorship amongst our peers.

So tell us what is on your mind, what projects you are working on and how we can better support you in your journey as a Drama specialist.  What can we do to enrich your teaching and better support your professional growth as both artist and teacher?

Playfully yours ,
Natasha Joachim
